This policy explains how Stars Network Ltd ("we", "us", "our") handles personal data collected through this website, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

1. Who we are

Stars Network Ltd is the data controller for the information collected through this website. We are a network and security consultancy registered in England & Wales (Company No. 08721115), based in Birmingham, United Kingdom. For any privacy matter you can contact us at hello@starsnetwork.co.uk.

2. What information we collect

• Enquiries: when you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) your company, phone number, the service you are interested in, and your message.
• Bookings: when you schedule a call through our booking tool (provided by Calendly), Calendly collects your name, email address and the meeting details on our behalf.
• Technical data: our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies.

3. How and why we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange and hold meetings, provide our services, and keep our site secure. Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are:

• Legitimate interests — to respond to and manage enquiries and to protect our website.
• Steps prior to a contract — where you contact us about engaging our services.
• Consent — for loading optional third-party tools that set cookies (see section 5). You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of trusted service providers (processors) who act on our instructions:

• Web3Forms — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox.
• Calendly — provides the meeting scheduling tool.
• Hostinger — hosts this website.
• Google Fonts — serves the website's fonts; this involves your IP address being processed by Google to deliver the fonts (no cookies are set).

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK (for example, in the United States). Where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not set its own advertising or analytics cookies. The cookies and storage involved are:

• Strictly necessary / local storage: we store your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again on every visit. This stays on your device and is not shared.
• Calendly (third-party, consent required): our booking calendar is provided by Calendly and sets cookies when loaded. We do not load it until you have given consent — either by accepting cookies in the banner or by clicking "Load booking calendar" on the Contact page.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data, and you can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the Calendly cookies simply means you would book by emailing us instead.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and contact details only as long as needed to deal with your request and for our legitimate business records — typically up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we enter into an ongoing engagement, in which case we keep them for the duration of that relationship and as required by law. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see section 7).

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@starsnetwork.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

8. Complaints

If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
